11 Remote Work Jobs There Will Always Be Demand For

By Eddy

September 7, 2020

The potential for remote work revenue grew rapidly in the time of B.C. (before coronavirus). Now, with the entire world working remotely, the options seem endless. The simple fact is there is no better time than now to figure out how to work from anywhere in the world.

Yes, you need to have marketable skills or learn them. Yes, you need to work… hard. And no, these aren’t get-rich-quick schemes, which in our opinion, tend to be just that, schemes. This is a door you can open to the best remote work opportunities we’ve discovered.

What are the Benefits of Remote Work?

Remote work is steadily becoming the norm as more companies see the value of reaching a wider population of potential employees through the internet.

The benefits of remote work are many but just to highlight a few, these are as follows:

  • No need to commute which means you save time
  • You can live anywhere so long as you have access to the internet
  • No distractions from other employees

Copywriting

If you have serious command of the English language and attention to detail, you can start earning money immediately through various online outlets pairing your grammatical and writing skills with countless companies that need help. Copywriting can be focused on knowledge of a specific topic that helps improve written content, or can be specific to ridding copy of all grammatical errors regardless of the topic.

How much can copywriters earn?

Copywriters make up to five cents per word by making your services available through sites like textbroker.com and iwriter.com. Journalismjobs, Facebook Groups and even Linkedin have a steady listing of contracts or for hire jobs that can all be done remotely.

Take just one example on ProBlogger, where a company sought a copywriter with six months of experience for projects that range from 20,000 to 150,000 words. At $5 per 1,000 words, the fees rack up.

Brush up your familiarity with styles (APA, AMA, MLA, and others), and prepare for a small test with the application. An annual membership to Grammarly can really help.

Graphic Design

Like copywriting, a basic foundation of expertise is needed to do graphic design work. But especially for those adept at programs like Sketch and Adobe Suite the proof is in the work. A strong portfolio is more important than education or experience. If you have a basic command of design, you can earn while you grow your skills and increase your potential income.

While most jobs are by bid–some starting as low as $35 for a very basic logo design on Upworthy, for example– you can win longer-term remote contracts to add earnings. Most remote graphic designers can earn on average $45,000 annually according to Glassdoor.

Platforms like Progressive Exchange have forums for impact organizations often looking for remote workers including designers.

Web Design Jobs

It’s never been easier to build quality websites because of many competitive programs built to make it easier, including Squarespace, Elementor, Divi and Thrive Themes. But many people don’t have the time or interest to learn, especially when it comes to needed graphic design that turns a basic template into a personal brand.

A good template-based web designer can often make $3,000 per site once a track record of satisfied customers is established. Encourage clients to post strong reviews on yelp and sites like Upwork that promote your services.

Social Media Management jobs

Spend time searching areas of interest to you and evaluate their social media presence.
